What is a Continuing Education Class you ask?

Insurance agents are required to take several courses that offer credits to keep their licensing up to date. In California, each hour counts as one credit, and 24 hours are required every two-year term.

Kelsey and Casey are taking all information in order to properly dry out a structure

Here at SERVPRO of Chico/ Lake Almanor, we use only the most up to date technical equipment and monitoring programs for our customers. In this photo we have Kelsey who is a production manager and Casey, a production technician. Kelsey is using a proprietary SERVPRO program called, "DryBook" for processing this large commercial job. She is able to measure all of the rooms and determine the best plan of action for the drying process. Casey is assisting in taking moisture readings throughout this loss in order to be sure we are providing the necessary amount of air movers and dehumidifiers for the specific job.  As the machines are appropriately and strategically placed, the monitoring process will continue each day until the rooms are back to dry standard. It is important to have the most accurate information so that your home or business will be dried efficiently. Well, look no further than this dream team. Meet Casey, Maria, Gloria and Tom. They were assigned to a commercial job in Paradise due to the devastation of the Campfire. Our customer had many requirements for this job from their corporate office, and this team didn't skip a beat. The entire building was cleaned and cleared out in record timing, and the workmanship was so well done it could be on the cover of a magazine. This job was executed perfectly. 

We love celebrating a job well done! This team received awards from the owner for doing such a great job.

One of the best things about SERVPRO of Chico/ Lake Almanor is that giving back is one of our best traits. We believe that the more you give, the richer you will be. 

We have been raising funds for the American Cancer Society for the last 4 years. Our team has a passion for the purpose, as some of our employees have been affected by cancer. 

One of the fundraisers we decided to host was a paint and wine tasting night. This also gave us an opportunity to spend time with people in our industry outside of the regular work day. 

Everyone enjoyed wine pairing and painting with their friends and coworkers. 

We also raised over $800 by this one event! 100% of the proceeds went to The American Cancer Society. Thanks for such a great time everyone! 

Hello Up There! SERVPRO of Chico/ Lake Almanor Can Reach That!

Every once in a while we are asked to perform a job that may require a little extra courage on the technician's part. It could be a tiny confined space, a biohazard situation, or even being required to be on top of a scissor lift all week. 

As our team was being lined out the morning of this job, our Production Lead asked for two people who were not afraid of heights. We had two fearless hero's that were up for the challenge and so excited. 

Dave and Summer used the lift to clean the top most parts of this church. Here you can see them at the top getting ready to start the process. This is a tedious task as the lift has to be brought down in order to move it to clean the next section of ceiling. They did a great job! 

SERVPRO helps to put together over 1,000 First Responder Care Kits

SERVPRO brings the green!

In the summer of 2018, our neighboring community of Shasta and Trinity Counties experienced a large wildfire. The fire burned nearly 93,000 acres and over 4,500 emergency personnel headed to the area to assist. 

We received a call from our corporate office that an organization called No Town Left Behind wanted to partner with us to help provide some relief to first responders. 

We met with Kimberly from NTLB and quickly went into action. We gathered our employees and family and met with Kimberly and the Church of Glad Tidings to mass produce bags filled with relief items. Some of these items included eye drops, fruit cups, protein bars and chapstick. Things that would be helpful if a first responder needed a little TLC. 

The 95 degree weather didn't slow us down as we put together over 1,000 packs for the first responders. 

We are happy to say that we were able to deliver the items to first responders in the Redding and Chico area. THANK YOU first responders!
